ABOUT

Who is Rua?
Over 20 years and 2,000+ performances, I've built a career that goes far beyond pulling off tricks at parties.
I've performed close-up magic and psychological mentalism for Netflix, Disney, Warner Bros., Google and Meta. I entertained the cast and crew of Wednesday Season 2 — including Catherine Zeta-Jones, Jenna Ortega and Steve Buscemi. I've appeared on The Late Late Show, Ireland AM, TG4 and Virgin Media. I was Lead Consultant on Dublin's World of Illusion Museum, and Co-Curator of ILLUSION: Nothing Is As It Seems with Science Gallery International — an exhibition that toured the world to critical acclaim.
I've delivered keynote talks on the neuroscience of magic and the psychology of belief. I've written and starred in my own 10-part TV series. I've headlined sold-out Fringe Festival shows and been dubbed "A Master of Live Deception" by the Irish Theatre Magazine.
My partner is Catalan. My son Liam was born in Barcelona earlier this year. This summer, I'm not flying in from somewhere else — I'm already here, available at short notice, with zero travel costs and a genuine connection to this city.
What I do at events isn't loud, cheesy or disruptive. It's intimate, elegant and genuinely inexplicable. I move through the room during drinks, working in small groups — leaving people astonished, bonded and completely bewildered.
If you're planning a corporate event, summer party, rooftop evening or private function in Barcelona this summer — this is the easiest call you'll make.
